Lake Oswego fine artist George Porter is pleased to announce a new upcoming solo fine art exhibit at Cascade Sotheby's, 310 N. State Street, Lake Oswego, OR 97034, Sept 15 - Oct 19, 2016. Located in Cascade Sotheby's stunning offices in Lake View Village with a beautiful view overlooking Millennium Plaza City Park and Lakewood Bay. The Opening Reception on the Third Thursday, September 15, 2016 begins at 5:00PM and is open to the public. George Porter will be on hand to discuss his work.
The exhibit will feature a selection of the artist's breathtaking landscape paintings and portraits in American Luminist and Impressionist styles, as well as new works of art completed in the past year including:
- original paintings, studies after luminist and impressionist masters, and limited edition fine art prints by George Porter Fine Art;
- gorgeous light-filled landscapes after Hudson River School master painters such as Thomas Moran, Frederick Edwin Church, Albert Bierstadt, Homer Dodge Martin, J. Hamilton, C. H. Beard and others, rendered by fine artist George Porter in a vivid palette of Chroma Atelier Interactive Artists acrylics.
- the artist's earlier works in oil, including studies of paintings by Impressionist masters such as Claude Monet, Frank W. Benson, Edouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and John Singer Sargent.
- new original works of art completed in the past year, including new portraits, original landscapes, commissioned paintings, and an unveiling of a limited edition fine art print of his most recent work of art, a modern allegory titled "White Rabbit".
