“After the Masters: Light in the Landscape" is my humble effort to pay homage to some of the greatest artists and artworks of all time; painters and paintings that have had a profound effect on my appreciation of art and on my development as a fine artist. It is my hope that viewers will join me on a magical trip, as I travel back in time through the eyes of some of the world’s greatest painters, not simply to recreate and reinterpret their works, but to appreciate the beauty that was all around them in an earlier America, and to grasp the meaning of what they saw in the spectacular scenes that they rendered. I will also be debuting a selection of my own original paintings that have been strongly influenced by the luminist and impressionist styles of these great masters.”
