Buffalo Thunder

Buffalo Thunder, 12" X 12", acrylic on American Easel cradle board was recently completed by Lake Oswego fine artist George Porter following a summer trip to our nation's national parks. Both awed and disturbed by the majestic Grand Tetons, the artist could not help but notice the lack of buffalo roaming wild on the plains. He painted this beautiful landscape to call on memories of an earlier time when the buffalo roamed wild and free, and the Native Americans were one with the land and the majestic mountains in Grand Teton National Park.

Buffalo Thunder is available for purchase. Priced at $200.00, this painting can be purchased in the artist's online store. For more information or to commission a new painting, please contact George Porter.

Dazzle, acrylic on cradle board by George Porter

Dazzle, 12" X 12", acrylic on American Easel birch cradle board, recently appeared in the For the Love of Red (Something Red) Exhibit at Oregon Society of Artists, February 7-26, 2016. This little gem of a painting was created by fine artist George Porter over the Christmas holidays and was inspired by Christmas ornaments from the artist's family Christmas tree. This bright still life painting captures the holiday spirit in glittering jewel tones that sparkle and shine. Especially beautiful are the details on the translucent glass bird ornament, and the reflected colored light on the diamond-shaped ornament. You can purchase Dazzle in artist's online shop. For more information or to commission a new painting please contact the artist
